The company has carried out several research and development projects.
Between them:

• Study of tertiary treatment in pilot plant: different kind of tertiary treatments were studied and the needs depending on the quality of water desired were established.

• Study of the supply of local hydraulic infrastructures in Alta: to update and complete the information regarding the hydraulic collecting, piping and regulation infrastructures in different municipalities of Alicante.

• Study of the clean up and treatment in the disseminated points of La Vega Baja: quantification and location of the disseminated points existing in the region of La Vega Baja that are related to the clean up of the basin of the river Segura (Alicante), as well as the collection of supply,
clean up and wastewaters treatment  data that currently exists.

• Biology of the agricultural use of biosolids: study of the presence of a high number of Helminth eggs in sludge plants and their high level of survival and inefficiency at a low dose.

• Study of lixiviation generated by the application of biosolids in the agriculture: Application and study of sludge plants (biosolids) to agricultural, forest or degraded lands to improve and keep their physical, chemical and biological properties.

• Study about the agricultural reuse of treated wastewaters in the region of La Marina Baja: follow up of treated water agronomy quality conditions and the conditions of the lands watered with this water, especially, nutrient conditions and phytotoxic substances.

But, till the moment, Proaguas has no previous experience in international collaboration and European Projects.
