Verleihung durch Staatssekretär M. Sackmann am 11. Juni in Nürnberg
Bayerisches Wirtschaftsministerium und Bayerisches Energie-Forum vergeben Auszeichnung für innovative Projekte in den Bereichen rationelle Energienutzung, erneuerbare Energien, neue Energietechnologien, die bereits umgesetzt sind bzw. sich am Markt durchgesetzt haben. Der Bayerische Energiepreis ist mit insgesamt 25.000 € Preisgeld dotiert. Die Resonanz war so hoch wie noch nie - 159 Bewerbungen aus allen Regionen Bayerns stellen ein neues Rekordergebnis dar. Die Verleihung findet im Anschluß an den Kongress "Energie Innovativ" des Bayerischen Energieforums der Bayern Innovativ GmbH ab 17.30 Uhr im Hotel Maritim in Nürnberg statt.

Die Europäische Kommission zeichnet 2008 zum dritten Mal herausragende Leistungen von öffentlichen Institutionen (Behörden) und öffentlich-privaten Partnerschaften mit dem in fünf Kategorien vergebenen European Enterprise Award aus. Prämiert werden innovative und erfolgreiche Maßnahmen, die Entrepreneurship auf lokaler, regionaler oder nationaler Ebene fördern. Ausgelobt wird dieser Preis in den 27 Mitgliedstaaten der EU und in Norwegen.

Empfehlungen der EU Kommission
Die Europäische Kommission hat am 10. April 2008 die "Empfehlungen zum Umgang mit geistigem Eigentum bei Wissenstransfertätigkeiten und für einen Praxiskodex für Hochschulen und andere öffentliche Forschungseinrichtungen" veröffentlicht. Die Empfehlungen dienen in erster Linie den Mitgliedstaaten als Orientierungshilfe in der Entwicklung von Strategien beim Umgang mit geistigem Eigentum und transnationalem Wissenstransfer.
Die Europäische Kommission hat am 10. 140 Teilnehmer aus 12 europäischen Ländern
Vor dem Hintergrund der notwendigen CO2-Reduzierung, Ressourcenschonung und Wiederverwendung von Rohstoffen stellen Innovationen im Bereich Umwelttechnologie nach wie vor eine große Herausforderung und zugleich internationale Geschäftsmöglichkeiten dar. Dies wurde durch die große Resonanz auf die bereits zum dritten Mal durch das EU-Kooperationsbüro der Bayern Innovativ auf der IFAT organisierte Kooperationsbörse belegt, in Zusammenarbeit mit Partnern aus dem Enterprise Europe Network und der Sector Group „Environment“. 140 Unternehmen und Forschungseinrichtungen aus 12 europäischen Ländern präsentierten sich mit 114 innovativen Technologieprofilen, aus Bayern unter anderem die Atres engineering biogas, AVA econ industries GmbH u. Co. KG, Bio-Energie Schwaben GmbH, Flottweg AG, Hydroisotop GmbH, Ritz-Atro GmbH, RS Umwelttechnik KG und die Softway AG. Es entstanden zahlreiche vielversprechende Kontakte mit europäischen Kooperationspartnern.

A Spanish research organisation based in Spain is offering a license for novel catalysts, based on enantiomerically pure N-heterocycles supported on polymers. These catalysts show high purity and stereoselectivity. Excellent results have been obtained not only with organic solvents but also with water as solvent. They seek an industrial partner in the areas of fine chemicals, pharmaceuticals or agrochemicals for a technical cooperation, manufacturing and/or commercial agreement.

With the raw-data from the MRS brain scans, the DSS classifies different tumour types, aiming to help the clinician to diagnose a patient without the need of a biopsy. They seek a technical cooperation for further development.

The SME have developed a prototype assay device which monitors the electrical signal from fresh dissociated cells which are indicative of the target cell response to stimulants e.g. chemotherapy agents upon cancer cells. The SME seeks to work with clinical collaborators who have access to fresh patient tumour-tissue; they would like to validate the assay ability to predict, from the cell responses measured, the specific sensitivity to cytotoxic chemotherapy upon the patient cells.
