Nano Update 2012 is a two-day event for companies and scientists interested in industry cooperation. The focus will be on four themes where nanotechnology plays a role, today and in the near future:

Surfaces – these sessions will cover the use of nanotechnology to obtain enhanced or completely new functionality, for example superhydrophobic- or de-icing properties. Other topics include bio surfaces with regards to implants and much more.

Life Science – this thematic area is focused on therapy, new methods for diagnostics and in-vivo measurements, for example magnetic nanoparticles and imaging methods.

Production & Safety – the Production & Safety conference track has an industry perspective, with talks about nanotechnology for new materials and safety issues concerning the work environment and end products containing nanomaterials.

Science2business and matchmaking – listen to inspiring talks, participate in the poster session and book face-to-face meetings with potential project partners.

As a participant at Update 2012 you can maximise the opportunities to make new valuable contacts by taking part in the matchmaking sessions. A matchmaking session is a quick and easy way to meet potential cooperation partners. People meet and greet at high speed. 30 minutes are usually enough to build connections, then the bell rings and the next talk starts.
