13th BAIKA Annual Congress 'Zulieferer Innovativ 2011',

The German automotive industry is on a remarkable success reporting record sales in many markets. Attractive vehicle design, consistent lightweight construction, top energy efficiency or marketable e-mobility solutions are examples reflecting the dynamics in innovation. This all together is an excellent opportunity for new partners and suppliers to get involved in the automotive industry.

With this in mind, Bayern Innovativ GmbH has conceived and organised the 13th annual congress "Zulieferer Innovativ" in cooperation with the German Association of the Automotive Industry (VDA) and IFG Ingolstadt, supported extensively by the Bavarian Ministry for Economic Affairs, Infrastructure, Transport and Technology.
In his opening address, Martin Zeil, Bavarian Minister of Economic Affairs, Infrastructure, Transport and Technology, will outline the political framework for further supporting innovation and growth.

The plenary session addresses competitive aspects from the perspective of a premium manufacturer and the German Association of the Automotive Industry (VDA). It presents opportunities for growth in new markets and technologies at the example of Australia as well as in the up-coming field of battery technology. Furthermore, it generally describes effective ways of instigating new cooperations through "Open Innovation".

The technical presentations cover these subjects in more detail. Experts outline examples of successful business strategies and report on running research projects and their application potential. A group of exhibitors will present their development competences in a dedicated session arranged for the first time.

This annual congress is one of the most important meetings of automotive experts in Europe attracting more than 1,000 participants.

The accompanying exhibition with 180 exhibitors will once again be the marketplace for innovative system solutions and new product concepts from industry and research.
