The biannual “Aachener Membran Kolloquium” (AMK), organised by the Chair of Chemical Process Engineering at RWTH Aachen University (AVT), continues to be the international conference on industrial membrane applications.
Membrane manufacturers, end-users and developers will present a manageable number of carefully selected talks discussing their latest results and needs in an international and communicative atmosphere.
While most other conferences tend to specialise, the AMK will merge players from a broad range of backgrounds for interdisciplinary knowledge exchange.
The topics of the presentations will be a well-balanced mixture discussing membranes in water treatment, food industry, solvent recovery, gas separation and the energy sector.
The development of tailor made membrane materials will be treated as well as operational experience and module design, never forgetting the focus on industrial membrane applications.
There will be a sizeable industrial exhibition, a large number of posters and time for valuable discussions.
In order to fully exploit of this potential, NRW.Europa at ZENIT will organise a matchmaking where transnational synergies can be developed. This will be an opportunity to establish new contacts and discuss current issues directly. The participants will be able to expand their activities and pursue concrete cooperations.
Prior to the workshop co-operation profiles and project ideas of the participating companies, experts, research institutes and universities will be collected and published via an online catalogue from which the participants can select the ones of interest to them. NRW.Europa will collect and coordinate all meeting requests and send out individual meeting schedules to the participants. The bilateral meetings will take place mainly during the breaks and poster session.
The event is supported by the AVT-Chemical Process Engineering of RWTH Aachen University.
