Tech meetings in Biomaterials

Jährliche Konferenz der Europäischen Gemeinschaft für Biomaterials ESB2009 im Enterprise Europe Network

For its 22nd edition, the annual conference of the European Society for Biomaterials - ESB2009, will be held in Lausanne on September 7-11, 2009. ESB2009 will be the venue to present and discuss basic, applied and clinical research. This event will connect research scientists, clinicians and companies dealing with biomaterials in a multi-disciplinary approach.

ESB is the 2nd largest Biomaterials Congress. Around 1000 participants are expected, as well as 300 oral presentations and more than 400 posters. Four themes of the day are proposed : « Industrial Day » (Sept.8), Spine (Sept.9), Infection (Sept.10), Cardiovascular intervention (Sept.11).

Topics covered: artificial organs, bioactive agents, biodegradables, protein/cell/tissue-material interactions, biomechanics, cardiovascular tissue, ceramics, composites, drug/gene delivery, infection, injectables, material properties/characterisation, metals, musculoskeletal tissue regeneration, nano/micro technology, nervous tissue regeneration, polymers, scaffolds, soft tissue, surface science, tissue engineering/regenerative medicine, tissue remodelling, translational & applied clinical research.

Enterprise Europe Network in Switzerland will organise a Partnering Event during the Industrial Day (Sept.8). This day will include 12 invited lectures on "bringing a product to the market". A catalog of technology profiles will be prepared and the participants will have the opportunity to meet during pre-organised one-to-one meetings.

Daily registration is possible to participate to the Industrial Day and to the Partnering Event. Cost for one day is 200 Euros (before June 30) and 230 Euros (after July 1). Deadline to insert a profile: August 14.
